The Sun & The Moon - Lovebook of Michael & Mira

Mike & Mira is absolutely the sweetest couple I've ever met, like ever. They are possibly the perfect definition of LOVE itself. Mira is a warm & cheerful girl that radiates lots of happiness to those around her and she sees the world through rose coloured glass. And Mike is the kind of guy you'll think only existed in movies, he is that cool, romantic & the loving guy in Hollywood romantic comedies. Mira is a huge fan of fairytales, especially ones that tell stories of love. And when she told me the story of how she met Mike, I could tell that their story was just as great as those fairytales. So the concept of this Lovebook of theirs is definitely that. I designed this Lovebook not as a photo album but as a book of fairytale. Mira herself is a great storyteller, she wrote 4 chapters detailing from how they first met each other, up to the surprise & romantic wedding proposal Mike gave her. Mira always said about how she and Mike are the complete opposites in so many different ways. The one thing that Mira wanted to highlight as a concept of her Lovebook was how she was born in the summer and Mike was born in the winter. Therefore, she asked to be drawn and painted as a Princess of Summer and Mike as a Knight of Winter. The Lovebook is split into two parts, one side is Mira's side of the story and the other is Mike's side of the story. How their story met in the centre is a surprise. In the centre of the Lovebook, I put a shadow box to illustrate how they finally came together as a couple. Both of them are so romantic that they wrote and sang a love song for each other as a surprise on the wedding day. The lyrics of both songs are placed right before the shadow box. The tricky part about this opposite duality was how to display the Lovebook to show both sides of the story. Thus, the packaging/display was designed as a rotating transparent box in the shape of a garden wedding arch made of solid wood. Mike & Mira is such a special couple. Being able to tell their story with this Lovebook, for me, is a privilege. This Lovebook of theirs is the perfect definition of a Lovebook itself, this is THE LOVEBOOK that I can only dream of making back when Kairos Works were just getting started. Lots of Love Elvin
