“Every vendor we hold dearly because they are a part of our special day and they have made our lives easier. Tirtha and Team lead by Mariska was amazing! Mariska was up to reply to our messages at night and always making sure that we are well taken care of.” How it starts “We first met through some common friends in Sydney. We were both working back then. Before we met, Chris was in a relationship for 4 years and Calista was single for 4 years. Some people call it ‘meant to be’ or ‘ when the time is right’ then we were introduced. It would’ve been different should we have introduced earlier.” The Venue “We landed our choice with Tirtha Bridal. We hired 2 of their venues – Stone House for the wedding ceremony and Tirtha Uluwatu for the Reception. We love love love the space the first time we went there. Everything is just beautiful. The space is immaculate, the vibe is calm and perfect.” We decided to book the whole Stone House also to host our dearest family and friends. It has 14 rooms and we got to be closer to them all, it was so special. We also had the ceremony by the pool and lawn at Stone House at 4PM where the weather was just nice and breezy. Everyone get to enjoy the ceremony looking at a view where the sky meets the sea. Cocktail and Reception were held next door at Tirtha Uluwatu where the guests get to enjoy the beautiful pink, coral, purple sky. The dinner venue was set up half indoor and outdoor so it was a good balance. The Theme The theme/style was elegance in simplicity. I’ve always liked everything that’s simple and not too much. As I believe that beauty comes in simplicity and it’s timeless/classic. That’s also what I want for my wedding. I did some research on Instagram and Pinterest to get inspired. I’m also a flower lover so I’m focusing on flowers for decoration and natural colors such as cream, taupe and a touch of coral blush. Favorite moment I will never forget the moment when my Dad walked me down the aisle – it was surreal. I’m pretty particular with music so I picked ‘Alleluia by Alejandro Consolacion ii’ as the background music and it really set up the whole mood. My Dad was smiling proudly greeting the guests not knowing that I was already bursting in tears behind the veil. It was beautiful and magical. The reception was epic! Started off with an opening speech from Christopher’s Dad highlighting the uniqueness of second-born children – in fact, that Chris and I both second-born child and we’re both unique in our own ways. Everyone agreed to the fun facts. Also, there was a moment where MC Arief asked us 3 things that we love the most about our partners. Then I was a bit panicked then I answered I love his personality, juicy lips and his heart. That ‘juicy lips’ caught all guests’ attention and everyone still remembers it until now. The after party was also crazy. Our friends love to dance. Some of them were dancing in front of the misty fan, sandwiched the bride and groom. It was so much fun!
