How do you define a true friend? Are you a true friend to someone? Well, my definition is simple: the friend in need is a friend indeed. In my life, I have been fortunate to have had true friends (Ye Xianghui, Lawrence Yue, Lawrence Che, Warren Poon and of course, my lovely wife, Ong An-Dian) and loved ones who helped me through my most trying and difficult moments. They treated me as a person, and not what they could get out of knowing me. I became a teacher because of two inspirational teachers- Ms Susan Toh and Mrs Iris Wong, who believed in me and never gave up on me. I may not be perfect but in the depths of my heart, I always wanted to be a true friend and to help those who faced similar difficulties as I have. Let's all be people our friends can truly COUNT ON!
