A quietly affectionate afternoon

One of the most exciting aspects in shooting for couples this year has been the exploration of some places in Singapore we had never traversed. I think both Shawn and myself had been in the vicinity, on a car or a bus, but never quite expected the place to be so welcoming to its visitors. White washed stones covered the vast plot of land laying beneath the busy highway, with shrubs dotting the parameter. The cooling sea breezes barely let up and the highway above provided a much appreciated, opaque shelter from the blazing sun. This place was a calming mix of cement and nature. Who would’ve thought that one could stay so cool in an outdoor shoot on such a hot day! We had a blast shooting for Jasmine and Clinton. We sure never imagined that Clinton would translate our directions to posing and join us in directing Jasmine. The shy, intelligent couple dazzled us with their sweet simple affection and certainly left us glad to have spent the afternoon-evening time in their company.
