Engagement in Balinese tradition -- Similar to sangjit ceremony in Chinese tradition, memadik is a Balinese procession where the groom's family is visiting bride's family house and asking her to marry him. This is also the time when the bride is leaving their parents house to live in the groom's "griya" (house/home).
