“Special” is the word most often used when describing a wedding. “Special” by definition means “better, greater, or otherwise different from what is usual.” And weddings are exactly that. It is a special occasion where love is better, greater and somewhat different from the usual. The atmosphere differ from wedding to wedding. While some may feel like a whirlwind of emotions, others may seem like an endless laughter, some may be a mixture of both. But one thing is for certain, if love was a tangible object, at weddings we would be drowning in it, because love grows at exponential rate during those precious moments. At weddings, love is proven to be special. It is certain, without a trace of doubt. It is brave, without a hint of fear. It is comforting, without any expectations of comfort in return. But when the dancing shoes have been kicked off and the marriage begins, slowly we forget that love was any special. It just become “usual”. Now, that’s the trap right there. Don’t fall into it. Love can be special, all the time. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in love, or how long you’ve been together. Love doesn’t fade over time; love grows with time. “Special” should be a word that is most often used when describing not only a wedding, but also a marriage. Marriage should be the special occasion where love is better, greater and somewhat different from the usual.
