The Wedding of Jeremy & Ivon by Adi

The wheels on the bus went round and round while Jeremy finally had courage to throw a ‘hi' to the ice-queen Ivon. That nerve-wrecking yet important ‘hi’ then sprouted smiles and quirky conversations, grew into dates (mostly over food) and a relationship. It once had a chance to stem a separation, but then answered doubts sprung up, followed by a romantic proposal on Christmas Eve, and finally bloomed into a beautiful overseas wedding where the sun, the sand, and the sea are at their best. They danced, and danced, and danced, as they entered the door of marriage, and as you’re reading this, they are still dancing tirelessly, taking care of each other’s emotion and well being. They managed to carve their relationship out of love and laughter, that their differences and personalities that were just too opposing to move on, had become something they miss from each others. Every morning after their dreamy wedding, sweet Jeremy would be the first to wake up and tidy up the house. He takes out the trash, and makes sure the house is neat by the time his love wakes up. A minute before he leaves for work, he always pecks Ivon on the cheek and enjoys her struggle to wish him farewell in her daze. After which, Jeremy would have a long painful day at work before going through a mental checklist of what Ivon might like for dinner. He would usually try to surprise Ivon with her favourite food even though he’s extremely exhausted. At the other end, Ivon is the one who knows best how to comfort Jeremy when he’s having a rough day. She is polite, pragmatic, and thoughtful. She has this little things she’d do that makes Jeremy simply melt and surrender when he was furious at her nonsense. Her charming smiles swoon Jeremy to take things slow and easy, and that’s when they would usually end up enjoying a relaxing afternoon nap together. There is no end in talking about the romance that sprinkles their love. I could only raise my glass for their abundant love, till death do them part. Cheers, Adi
