Rey & Jenny | The Engagement
by Debby Hardinata

Updated on 13 November 2017

Let’s begin with the romantic session here. Rey and Jenny are actually friends of ours, they met at Tata & En-En’s wedding back in 2012, where En-En purposely arranged all her single friends to sit at one table hoping that some of them might get along together. They were then match-made by one of our good friends, Stephanie after the wedding. Their stories continued since then between Perth and Singapore, two prominent cities where they lived. And so they decided to have their engagement session in Singapore, the city where they mostly met and got to know at. We chose Henderson Wave as one of the spot because it’s the place where Rey proposed to Jenny. Henderson Wave is a beautiful 274 metre-long pedestrian bridge that spans Henderson Road to connect Mount Faber Park to Telok Blangah Hill Park. At 36m above Henderson Road, Henderson Waves is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. The story behind how Rey got the engagement ring size was also a challenge. Stephanie brought Jenny shopping at H&M to try out some ring accessories to check the size. There was one ring that fit Jenny’s finger perfectly, but Stephanie had to act cool. She returned the next day to H&M just to buy the ring and sent it over to the Rey’s jeweler in Bandung to have the engagement ring perfectly made. Jenny’s golden-black gown really matched with the color of the bridge, designed by Gazelle Brides. Make up and Hairdo by Elysia & Defi – our very own talented team. We had so much fun, love and laugh, so hope that you will enjoy the photos too :)
