We recommend 2 months, but depending how busy we are it can be quicker.
What makes your services unique?
Each piece designed by Empire Room is custom made, by one of two people, in our home studio, using traditional millinery & dressmaking skills. New & vintage materials are sourced from around the globe & may only be available for one or two pieces, so no one else will have your exact item. There is no production line at Empire Room.

When was your business established?
The Empire Room label was launched in 2013 at L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival for the Red Carpet Bridal Runway.
Our director & designer, Jayne, has been creating bridal & evening wear, theatrical & ballet costumes & millinery for over 25 years.
What is your payment terms?
In house, an initial 30minute design consultation will cost A$25, payable on the day & will be credited to your final bill.
Etsy purchases require payment at the time of order.

How long in general does it take for a client to receive their accessory?
Pieces may take 2-3 weeks to create, but there may be several clients ahead of you.
You also need to account for shipping times which can take up to 21 days from Australia.

We made accessories in 1-2 weeks.
Alterations can usually be done in 1-2 weeks.

Certainly .
Empire Room can carry out expert alterations for wedding gowns, brides maids dresses & Mother of the Bride outfits.
With 25 years experience in the fashion & theatre industry, having worked on Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, Melbourne Fashion Festival, Myer Seasonal Launch parades, Logies gowns, Spring Racing Carnival VIP's & Beauty & the Beast to name a few, your garment is in safe hands.
We suggest coming for an initial fitting as soon as your dress arrives, costing AUD$25, then having your alterations completed 2 weeks before your wedding.
I can also come to you for an additional fee.

Our range includes veils, bandeaus, fascinators, headbands, silk or lace boleros, capelets & garters.
Time is spent sourcing the finest quality new & vintage material to realise the perfect statement piece for your special day.
