by Choo Yilin

Updated on 21 March 2017, Singapore

Venue: The Intan - Celebrating all things Peranakan! Concept, Styling & Florals: Amperian Photography: Katelyn Chua - White Grandeur Photography Hair and Make Up: Fidelis Toh - The Luckiest Chick Jewellery: Choo Yilin - Fine Jeweller Contact hello@amperian.sg Stepping into The Intan, we were in awe by this private home-museum, showcasing Peranakan’s rich culture, heritage and traditions through the owner’s vast collection of antiques and artefacts. To further enhance this culturally rich setting, we made use of Peranakan’s vibrant colours, geometric floral prints and nyonya desserts as elements for this styled shoot. Not to forget the gorgeous figure-hugging sarong kebayas that Alene worn, which were specially selected from her mother-in-law’s personal collection! We were extremely elated to have played a part in fulfilling Alene’s wish of rediscovering her husband’s Peranakan roots with this shoot!
