Like many other wedding businesses owned by couples, Kenang Design was based on the founders' own experience. "We designed our own wedding invitations, and my husband added a logo and email address to the envelopes just for fun," reminisced co-founder, Muthia. "The feedback we received was beyond our expectations, so we decided to start a business in November 2016," she continued. After building their brand for around 10 months, the pair then teamed up with a longtime friend, Octaviantika.
As a newcomer in the ever-evolving wedding industry, Muthia tries to maintain a balance between current trends and a distinct brand identity. "Shutting ourselves out from trends would be a fatal thing to do. On the contrary, merely following trends isn't a good thing either," said Muthia. "That's why, here at Kenang Design, we strive to maintain a strong foundation based on our knowledge of design theory to support our signature style," she continued.
For Muthia and her team, intimacy is the key to producing memorable works for their clients. This particular intimacy is a result of exceptional service and good communication between Kenang Design and every client. "Putting our client's needs first is what we do. The identity that we instill in each of our creations is based on the client's preferences, therefore the outcome of the work will always be personal," said Muthia.
