Just because you're having a wedding halfway across the world, doesn't mean you can't plan it the nice and easy way. The Bridestory app makes it all possible. "The Bridestory app makes wedding planning so much easier for modern brides who are too busy to meet every single vendor. It's the first wedding app in Indonesia that looks beautiful and is also easy to use. Because everything is connected, it's really easy for me to find, save, and contact talented wedding vendors," said Carline Darjanto, CEO of Indonesian fashion label Cotton Ink. "I also used the app to browse for inspirations and works from vendors, which I easily saved to my inspiration board," she added.
After nine long months of research and wedding preparation, Carline Darjanto's big day is finally here. Carline and Aoura's wedding happened a while ago in Tuscany, Italy and we're so excited to share their fresh-out-of-the-oven wedding pictures with you.
The couple tied the knot in the antique Villa Medicea di Lilliano, a historical villa in Grassina, close to Florence. Befitting its name, the villa was owned by the powerful Medici family back in the 17th century! To our surprise, the couple's first visit to their wedding venue happened only two days before the wedding took place. "It took a lot of faith and guts to pick a venue we've never seen before," said Aoura. Nevertheless, with its stunning views and rich historical atmosphere, the venue was truly a perfect choice for Carline and Aoura's rustic-themed wedding.
Turns out, the venue wasn't the only thing the couple has not seen prior to the wedding. "We've never been to Florence before and never even talked to our caterer or florist. We basically planned our whole wedding online through Skype with our wedding planner," Carline said. Their long-distance wedding planning paid off, and it's so magical how all the elements managed to blend together in perfect harmony.
As you can see, their wedding invitation by byyn is truly one-of-a-kind. The illustrations of olive leaves serve as a hint of where the wedding takes place, and the clean design keeps the invitation looking very modern. And of course we couldn't leave out the decoration. The alfresco dinner table had only greenery, some flowers, even fruits as a runner; the table settings perfectly suited the wedding theme and, most importantly, blended in beautifully with the venue.
Amidst the beautiful surroundings, what stood out most was the couple. Carline looked like a goddess in her beautiful off-shoulder dress by Imelda Hudiyono, and her flawless makeup by Lizzie Parra made her glow even more. As for Aoura? He was looking dapper in his bespoke suit as he kept his eyes locked on his beautiful bride.
