Dwi and Putra's effort to put together this wedding was surreal. Their work required them to travel out of town often, making wedding planning a bit more difficult. The couple and their family also had to be put on a wait list to book their dream wedding venue, which finally delayed them from choosing the wedding date, a crucial detail in every wedding planning. After finally getting a date, they didn't have much time left to finalize all elements that they almost forgot to print and send out invitations. "Luckily, we finally found someone who was willing to finish our order within a week. As Putra already created all the invitation and stationery design, it really sped up all the process," Dwi shared.
The only thing that wasn't rushed was their bridal look. "I am very specific when it comes to this," she said. Dwi's bridal look was inspired by the 1920s, which often showcased brides in a long-sleeved lace wedding dress and intricate hair accessories. "I doubted at first as I'm wearing hijab. I'm afraid it will look too much. However, Barli Asmara put together a wedding gown that exceeded my expectations," Dwi said.
Even up to one day before the wedding, the couple still had to untangle some issues. "We planned an outdoor ceremony, but rain poured down heavily the night before that we're forced to cancel the plan," Dwi recalled. They had to move the akad nikah location and Putra was hands-on to ensure everything was ready. "It was my most sleepless night," he said.
Finally, all their hard work was paid off when their dream wedding unfolded remarkably. Decorated with hanging lights, wooden elements and clusters of flowers, a homey and warm feeling was radiated all around the room. "I was so happy and excited that my dream wedding finally came true," Dwi said. Even the wedding album captured by Imagenic looks just as charming.
