Today's beautiful wedding was a portrayal of a six-year relationship that eventually blossomed into a blissful marriage. Gita and Paul became friends during their study time in Germany to earn a bachelor degree. However, the lovebirds didn't meet until Paul visited one of their friends who lived in the same city as Gita.
Ever since they started dating, both Gita and Paul have always visualized each other as a partner in life. "We work together! We also enjoy making music and discuss about anything, anywhere. Perhaps, if we could choose our favorite thing to do while in Germany, it must be when we could just stroll the city and spent hours talking," Gita shared. During one of those moments, these lovebirds felt it was about time to get married.
Their wedding was celebrated in a governor's house in Palembang that was known for its spacious backyard. To the bride herself, she loved the venue as it somehow gave off the homey vibe as her grandmother's home. Following a set of traditions for their ceremonial procession, the pair decided to wear traditional Palembangese attire as well, both in yellow-gold color. We admire Gita's soft makeup as it really suited her simple girl-next-door
As the evening approached, a reception was sure to follow. On the aisle, the guests were waiting for the newlyweds while holding fireworks on their hands. This time, Gita and Paul featured another look for their wedding, which turned out to be more modern as they dressed in monochromatic outfits. Gita also shared how they wanted to be more engaged and interactive with their guests who came all the way for their wedding. "We didn't want to sit and stay at the stage because we'd love to chat around," enthused Gita. Without a doubt, having a personalized detail is another key to pull off an intimate wedding that would be memorable for years to come. Therefore, she borrowed her grandmother's wooden sofa and used the furniture at their wedding stage. Just like how the bride envisioned, their wedding seemed heartwarming and surely, the guest were delighted too.
Congratulations to Gita and Paul on your marriage! Let's have a look once again at how their lovely day went by!
