Sometimes, choosing only one concept for a pre-wedding shoot could turn into a complex matter as some couples might want to experiment with different concepts. Therefore, Jin Xian and Melissa took no hesitation when they had the chance to go abroad for their pre-wedding session. The pair even prepared another session in the comfort of their hometown.
For all of the concept, the creative bride-to-be asked the team from Magical Dream to create a concept that represents their personality, meaning that it should incorporate a mixture of rustic and elegant touch at the same time. "We allow creativity to flow as much as possible since this is our only chance to be able to capture such moment!" said Melissa excitedly. She also explained how a pre-wedding photo shoot somehow helps them as a couple to reminisce their story, "all these photos can be stored as a keepsake. I've always loved to take photos and Jin Xian has always been the nostalgic kind too."
When planning their overseas session, Melissa and Jin Xian have always envisioned a natural scenery which is a view they both couldn't get in Singapore. Having this in mind, the pair prepared everything in advance for at least eight months prior to their departure. Thailand appeared to be the perfect decision for the two and therefore, after securing their dream photographer, the couple soon booked the other vendors they needed for the shoot.
As opposed to their Thailand pre-wedding preparation, the couple's local shot was settled within a month that consisted of meetings with the different vendors. Out of all their pre-wedding planning experience, Melissa stated her favorite moment was the gown fitting. "I went to a total of ten bridal stores and tried almost every single type of gowns that they have to offer. Due to the fact that I had three different concepts, a total of six wedding dresses from three different bridal stores were eventually rented out," the bride disclosed. As a result, we spotted a mixture of mermaid, A-line, and ballroom dresses with such details from lace to crystals on their pre-wedding album.
Before ending the conversation, Melissa also revealed some tips for future brides-to-be who are searching for a pre-wedding outfit. "Try as many dresses as you like first and know what is suitable for your body type. Always trust your vendors and just enjoy the whole process of it. The moment you receive your photos, it's definitely all worth it!"
