Eric and Leah's Dream Wedding in Marlboro Hills, Batanes

We say opposites attract and for Eric and Leah's case, it's totally true. They met at work with Leah as the facilitator and Eric as one of her students. She was the epitome of law and order while he was the storybook example of a scoundrel student. The operated on different views, values, and behavior and they seemed to be irreconcilable. One morning, Eric decided to go to class early only to find out Leah was already there preparing for the class. He sat on his chair and glanced at her from time to time. From then on, going to class early became a habit and Eric realized he enjoyed seeing Leah--studying her quirks and enjoying her presence of being together in one room.

Eric made his move after their last class to avoid controversy. After months of persistence, Eric and Leah dated exclusively for a year and ended up getting married in the beautiful Tukon Chapel in Basco, Batanes. The wedding they had was everything they dreamed of, but refreshingly, it wasn't grandiose at all. The couple took advantage of the picturesque stone structures and hills of Batanes and used it to create a wedding that's intimate, simple, and serene. Batanes is simple and majestic, and it was the better venue option for the couple because they wanted the guest guests to remember the day, not only because it's their wedding day but also because they want their guests to have their own great experiences.

Friends and family helped out in the actual preparation the wedding day itself and most of the things in the wedding are personalized. Leah's shoes were bought from the mall but gold crystal accents were added for a touch of elegance. The decorations were handmade by the couple and their family and friends. Who knew that a few simple things could look so elegant? Tipping Point Collective did a great job styling the even as they made the real stars of the wedding, the bride and groom, take centerstage.

However, before the the magical day the couple experienced a handful of challenges. They missed their flight and had to find another flight since there were only 2 airlines who fly to Batanes. They also got scammed by someone they thought would provide the speakers and generators, luckily they managed to find it the on-the-day itself. Also, both the host and coordinator were not on tip-top shape during the wedding day so the couple were disheartened. All of that on top of the weather being unpredictable. Thankfully, the universe rewarded them with the first ever wedding in Batanes held on a Sunday and the first ever reception held in Marlboro Hills!

Everything worked out in the end and they learned a lot from each other. At the end of the day a wedding is about the blessings God has bestowed on the couple-- the unity of their relationship, genuine friends and family, and of course, the love that was present all throughout their relationship.
