"From our very first meeting, we could tell that Melissa and Standry were a one-of-a-kind couple. Adventurous would be the perfect word to describe them," said the photographer,
Venema Pictures. The pair shared a love of hiking, and they wanted to reflect that passion in their pre-wedding album. After the mood board was finished, they decided to go camping at Ranu Kumbolo, a mountain lake in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.
Little did they know, the journey eventually did not go as planned. A few days before their trip, Mount Semeru was closed because several hikers had gone missing. "We had to cancel all our plans and just go with the flow," said the photographer. Finally, they ended up going to the nearby Mount Bromo. "Although the weather wasn't perfect, the couple had a lot of fun during the photo shoot," the photographer added.
In the end, they managed to produce an exceptional engagement album despite all the setbacks. "When dealing with nature, we have to be as flexible as possible," said the photographer. But luckily, the couple remained happy and excited throughout the whole shoot. "Melisa and Standry were filled with positive energy at all times. They even considered the whole experience as another adventure!" he added.
