A purple-themed wedding for Matthew and Annalyn

With a guest list of almost 10 nationalities, many of whom flew in for the occasion, the White Rabbit's historical architecture and modern quirk was the perfect venue of choice for Brit boy Matthew Hood and Filipino Annalyn King's rustic elegant nuptials.

Cozy and intimate with beautifully manicured gardens, Annalyn worked with a wedding planner and decorator to transform the place into a rustic violet wonderland of purple blooms, lanterns and tassels, also seen on the groomsmen's neckties and bridesmaids' dresses.

To add a few personal touches to the affair, Annalyn dressed up the bridal chairs herself, designed wedding advice cards and programmes, hung up a string display of photos and sourced for the gift favours – English breakfast tea and Filipino coffee beans.

The bride dazzled in a sequinned halter-necked nude gown from Filipino designer Mel Orlina, as she posed for photographs along the grassy knoll of the Rabbit Hole, where the solemnisation was held. In a chic indoor reception that followed, they enjoyed a plated European menu of foie gras mousse, mushroom cappuccino, steak, seabass and trio of desserts.

"The general atmosphere was wonderful and we had the people who mattered most in our lives witnessing our big day. It made the wedding very cozy and personal, just like catching up with old friends that we haven't seen for a long time," says the bride.
