The golden sun and the crisp air of Sumba brushed against Andrew and Tabita's skin as they posed for pictures that are worth thousands of likes and memories for a lifetime. It was a perfect trip started with Frans Muller, their photographer from Kinema Studio, suggesting them to have their session in this heaven on earth. Driven by the father of the bride's Sumbanese origin and a temptingly beautiful scenery of the island, the couple of 8-year relationship made their way to the beautiful savannahs of East Sumba.
The couple admitted that it was the gorgeous savannah and Sumba itself that have inspired them. The vast sky backdropped every shot beautifully, even more at night when there seemed to be millions of stars adorning the sky. From the bright sun, golden hour, to the evening, the photoshoot beautifully captures Sumba in all its exquisite hours.
To add a local touch, the couple put on Sumbanese woven fabrics. Andrew and Tabita created a laidback bohemian look using an ethnic look. The fabric was weaved by local crafters, and the design was initiated by the bride, thus this prewedding apparel is very personal and meaningful to them.
Despite the professional and artistic shots, the couple did not seem to be burdened by it. In fact, the bride said, "it was stress free and we just followed Frans around because we knew he knows the places best." Reminiscing the wonderful time that's meant to last for many years to come, the bride also came up with an advice for those thinking of a photoshoot in Sumba. "Look for photographers who know the place well and can guide you there too because it's quite a small town. Also, discuss your look and attire with your photographer since they knew the situation of the places better." The bride assured that with insights on great photoshoot spots, the magic will unfold by itself.
