Calvin & Nathasa Wedding
by AMITIE Bridal Accessories

Updated on 07 August 2018

Natasha was introduced to Calvin by his friend, Setiawan. He was so eager and enthusiastic to introduce her to him, in addition to Calvin already attracted to her just by looking at pictures of her. When they finally met each other, they got along very easily as if they are meant for each other. It didn’t even take a long time for them to start dating. Calvin came up with the idea to propose with a video, showing how they met each other, photos of the two of them, and at the end of the video says, “Will you marry me?”. It was March 30, 2017, the day he decided to propose. He was very nervous the entire day, not because of he was afraid of getting rejected, but because it marks a huge advancement in their life. Later that day, they arrived at Calvin’s house. He hurriedly set everything up: importing the video into his phone, turning on the aircon and the TV, and setting up a camera to record her reaction. He later told Natasha to get into his room, and he went to the bathroom, saying that he wanted to do the number two. He remotely played the video on the TV from his phone, and he timed his appearance before her right at the ending of the video. Then, he kneeled before her and she started to cry out of joy. Calvin and Natasha have always agreed that their wedding should be projected as something that they really want, and they were very eager to get involved in the entire planning process. Therefore, the concept of their wedding was mainly hippy, industrial, and rustic, which was heavily inspired by the trending themes such as Kaidang and Kinfolk. This theme suits them very much. The moment that left the most impression on them was when they were at the grand entrance by the reception. During the rehearsal, people said that they were very stiff like a prince and princess who were way too formal and awkward, and it didn’t go well with the song that they chose, which is Viva La Vida by Coldplay. The MC, Didi, later told them, not only the bride and the groom, but also the respective families, bestmen/bridesmaids to dance and move to the beat to break the ice, and it worked like a charm. They had so much fun and didn’t seem tacky at all. The highlight of the wedding is when they sat down and looked at the Same Day Edit process by Nomina team. They honestly had high hopes on Nomina team and were eagerly waiting for the results of the Same Day Edit, which exceeded their high expectation. They were so impressed that the results left them speechless. It felt like they found their kind of “happily ever after”.
